  Nellie Irene Simmons, 90, of Jena, died at 11:30 a.m, Friday, January 7,

2000, in Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.

  She was a homemaker. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9, in Olla First Baptist Church in

Olla with the Rev. Milton Wilson officiating.  

  Interment followed in Beech Creek Cemetery near Olla under direction of

Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

  Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Denny of Friendswood, Texas; one son,

Glen McKeithen of Olla; ten grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Jerry S. Roberts, William Denny, Clinton Denny, Jim

Pourchot, Ken Kuykenadall, and Caleb McKeithen.
